h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Ah, spring! A wonderful time of the year for all of us who are allergic to everything floating in the air. Dayton, Ohio proves to be a fabulous cross-section of a wide variety allergens. This is a booming season for the facial tissue business, beaten by the winter-time cold and flu season by only a minute margin. Nose clogged and tender, I wander through the city armed with a few mini-packets of Puffs tissues and Allegra-D. The dogwood is in full white, fluffy color and all is lovely. My proboscis is blooming to a marvelous shade of pink along with the wildflowers. I long to get away, maybe to Seattle, where any allergens are beaten to the ground by that glorious rain, and lo, I am not allergic to mold!
