Hi Arutha!
Nice to meet you!
You're a patron saint?
What's all that about?
I'm waiting to hear whether I have been accepted as an ACE or not.
I have been greeting newcomers, like one of the other ACEs told me to.
When I logged on tonight, there was a queue of people waiting at my page for a Christmas!
I really like H2G2.
A pity I cannot get online more.

NIce to meet you too, Christmas kisses, ist't it a bit urly for that or late. That depends on wich way you see it.
Patron saints don't have an official job, we respond to guestions that habe been asked and sometimes detect and report nasty things. We're not something that is run from the H2G@ organisation. But it is great fun. I even greet newcomers now and then.
About being online more, you're not the only one with that problem. My personel life is so busy that I don't have the time to be here every day, I go online as much as I can though.

You are lucky to have a busy personal life!
I do not have time, between work and taking care of my home.
So there's not much difference between Patron Saints and A.C.E's?
In what they do, I mean...
I know the A.C.E's are official representatives of the guide, I read up on the job description before I applied.
The Angels and Patron Saints are just unofficial greeters? Or do they have jobs as well?
Sorry to ask so many questions!

p.s. It is never too early for Christmas kisses.

Kheldar or Arutha:
Do you know why my last guide entry went into the sin-bin?
I have not been informed officially, and I want to know ~why~.
I am not very happy about it, as I did a lot of Research.
By the way, I am now a fully-fledged A.C.E!
I wrote a journal entry, if you'd like to comment?

Congratulations on your new title . Be sure to check out the Aces forum every now and then, cause there are quite a few interesting things going on
I don't know about your article. If you can give me the A-number of it, I will read it, and see what I can find
On my way to your journal entry

I am sorry I did not leave you the A number, Kheldar.
I have just found out that there was a mistake, they binned my entry and forgot to put me as a referenced Researcher on the main entry by Jimi X. They were very apologetic, and if you look at the bottom right-hand of my page, the entry is there!
My entry was A461134 Meteor Showers; it was incorporated into Meteors, Meteorites and Meteor Showers http://www.h2g2.com/A480520
So as you can imagine I am a very happy lady this week, becoming an A.C.E. and also getting another entry accepted!
I will start work on my next entry tomorrow night hopefully, but first I will tend to my family, then I will greet some newcomers when my husband takes the girls to the local park.
He does not like walking my dog Pepe at night when it is cold, whereas I love the night sky, I am always watching for meteor showers, I have seen many since I was a child.
The other night, the moon was full, I watched it reflect on the water and it was like a shimmering golden ribbon of liquid gold, dancing upon the waves...the night was still and even the seagulls were quiet, the stars were so bright and I spotted Jupiter and Mars and Venus.
We have quite a panoramic view from our coast.
I'm lucky to live where I live.
Thank you for all your help, Kheldar, I appreciate it very much!

No problem at all . After all, we all started out new here at one time . I was guided into this by a few people, so I don't see why I should act any different when someone needs my help

No, I said I didn't like the new smileys. I'm used to the old ones, so I tend to use them. It's all the new ones I'm worried about, not the plain and simple classic ones

No way! Even the winkeye and the tongue are worse than before, and I thought they were just incapable of changing. The fish is too big, and the eye looks bad.
What I meant was, when I'm typing a reply to something, I automatically type a smiley or a winkey after particular remarks, just because I'm used to do that. Not just here, anywhere.

The winkeye is fine, it actually looks quite cheeky
I liked the tongueout when they made a mistake and it was appearing as a sunshine in Goo.
I find myself apologizing to you now, everytime I post a new smiley
