Knelling the Green and Shell-shocked - A4183788
In other words, my ode to junior year. If anyone has some time to squander, feel free. I hunger for your comments

Whoa. I wish I could write like that!! My poems are so.... simple. It would be awesome to be able to weave together words like that. Good job!

Actually, thank you but it was deemed confusing... Not everyone is as fond of the Odyssey as I... For your information, Charybdis is the whirlpool

Ohhhh.....
The only person's opinion that matters is yours....

True but I never much liked my opinions, they're too picky.

look at your writing and think about it like it was your friend's writing, and not yours.

*wails* I cannot! *looks guilty* Okay, I tell my friends it's fine and usually don't read it unless they want a honest to earth fight.

Oh.
You know, you remind me of someone I once knew..... hmm...

*hopeful* me?
Odd, I just read a poem titled Self-dependance and I never really wondered about the differences between that and indepence.

worldcitizen3133 Posted Jun 13, 2005
Maybe self-dependence means you rely on yourself, and independance means you don't have to rely on anyone else.
Which sounds like the same thing...

You're exactly right, the difference is that one can still be self-dependant while with someone else, whereas independent is all by lonesome.

I liked it. I thought the metaphorical imagary was particularly effective....which in this case happens to be true!
"What appears fair remains suspect, prohibits thy prospect to passage pristine."
realy cool.
I did find it a bit daunting to look at, but I split it up into passages and it reads just fine

Egads, thank you for taking the time to read it...
I'm glad you liked that part.
Besides the overall wordiness which I will try to change, can you think of anything else that strikes you as redundant... I want people to enjoy it, not wade their respectable ways through deep waters.

"Fate say’st: Thou hath survived my ominous maelstroms of murk.
Thy skills, learned by rote, bewildered her fiendish routine"
Just giving people a teaser, the proverbial tepting to partake of your fruit of the poet.
Honestly, besides breaking it up into stanzas, no, I wouldn't change a thing
