h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Technically it is not my birthday until Sodit, but since Dad can't make that date we celebrated my twin and mine today. It was fun. We recieved several marathon phone calls from obscure and not-so-obscure relatives. My favourite present was that of a rock, present to me by my little sister Jen, of seven years old with a proud smile painted on her petite face. On closer examination, the rock turned out to be painted by her as well. If you squint slightly, those bold black lines are supposed to be in imitation of a potato. I don't know. Don't ask. Another titbit was that my Grandma called and spoke conspirically of my fortunes. She tole me that I was composed, thoughtful, and (is compatible with) will marry dirt. I was speechless, but I think I muttered something inaudible. Besides that, I don't believe in the horiscopes anyway... all that Fate dictates this and thats. As for others, it's the usual thing: money etc. I'm not that excited by my seventeenth birthday for some reason. Ugh.
It rained nonstop. There's serious talk of some flooding. On Sodit the rain's supposed to stop. It'd better.
Tomorrow the time will change, I don't know how. Yay, I shall have to get up early to help out with the church breakfast. Huzzah!

Thanks! There's this guy at the church who cracked me up this morning by telling me about this hotdog shop when he was younger that was nicknamed Hairy Arm.

Then there's this other cool person with a soft British accent who told me that he used to sing for the Royal family until one time he'd get so nervous that he was singing soprano. After that, he couldn't sing anymore
