Yesterday a high-school teenager shot his grandparents and ten students in Minnesoda [with three handguns]. It was the biggest school-shooting since what happened at Columbine in 1999. In a Native American reservation, yes, but think on this: is it a trend, and what should the Govt. do about this?
As one of my classmates claimed, quite accurately in sentiment if not as tactful "White People Sux"
End of story of "why" and the missing motive.
It's an obvious one.
We pushed them to assimilate. They don't have the skills/ability to make a viable living smiley - erm. We've tried to have them live in our standards, own land we say regardless of protests of beliefs. We kick 'em onto barren unusable lands and make them soveriegn. Good ol' us.
How do they support themselves without govt stipends/help? What is their share-crop, their lucrative honest economy? How can we protect a shining reputation as the highest standard of living when our neighbors thrall in poverty, way below the minimum line?
How should we extend the hand, the benevolent desire to aid without forcing our influence and culture in face of their struggles? Would much rather we not step in at all than strike the rich heritage of poor when most vulnerable.
It's rather depressing.
Had a test today in Soc. Chem test and lab tomorrow. smiley - goodluck
See ya later, Sweet smiley - biggrin

I dont think america has the ability to do what you'd want it to do sadly. Dont get me wrong on this though, the British did it a couple of centuries back - its called colonialism. The problem is that back then the most powerful weapon was a block of infantry with rifles and bayonets, and today its a nuclear warhead. And lots of countries watched British conquer the globe at bayonet point dont want to see it happen again.
Part of the reason why the Native American (seems odd that the only native americans are the ones that dont run the country) population is in such a bad state is because they were put into that position by invading colonialism. No doubt theres been a massive influence of american culture on them, just as the British influenced india (theres still reminants of colonial arcitechture).

I'm not being funny but you seriously need to re-word that entery into your journal because it can be miss read and be extremely offensive. Namely:
"They don't have the skills/ability to make a viable living. We've tried to have them live in our standards, own land we say regardless of protests of beliefs"
see what I mean?

And have you noticed how a lot of the news reports have said 'he always dressed in black'. Hmmmm thats not American tv causing trouble now is it...

sorry I felt awfully swayed yesterday but now I'm better. No offense people, and I'm re-wording it to "staying/choosing the futile courses, we see it coming and probably it's not anyone's fault. It's just the situation that's loath-ful. Yow."

Chem test was coloring smiley - smiley MacBeth test on the morrow in Lit.
I posted this before but I love the book so much it's here once more.
When David ben Moshe was executed, young Elisha faced a gruesome choice: To become God and murder Captain John Dawson in attempt to free Israel. He wonders if God is on the right side, does God wear uniform or is He a terrorist? Would the British institute a pogram? The Jews fought back, learning the lessons of acquiesce from the camps. Elisha struggles with conflicts in his murky past when he was the victim. Had he survived the atroty due to randomness? The clarity of the long night stays with him as he examines his despicable future. Would he be seen with the eyes of Death? In Dawn, when the face shows up the difference, the beggar’s tale has displayed true forces at heart.
I wished he would bring up more than his mother, father, master, Stefan, and boy version of himself. Would it that Julian were to regale once more with his violin from Auschwitz memories. Following Night was impossibility, but Elie managed to surprise me once more with this vivid segment of his life.

Of course the media had a part in it but it's like Muhammad Ghandi says "the truth never harms a cause that is just," isn't it?

I meant no offense about the "stereotyping" it's just that the skills to live in the society by the rule we saw it isn't suitable in most cases and puts them under the poverty line... poor everyone. smiley - sorry

I have absolutely no idea what your on about. I got the bit where it says 'I like macbeth' - Titus Andronicus is better btw - but I have no idea what all that is after it. Sounds like its a synopsis of macbeth (its not, but twould be interesting to have terrorists and isreal in the scottish play)
