h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Apparently I'm scarey. (So I was told;Someone was talking about me and that was their considered opinion.) I find it very confusing. If I'm that formidable a person, why do ALL the mad people on the Northern Line latch onto me without fail? Bossy, I'm prepared to admit to and very, very nosey. But scarey?? Paah!!

Turns out it's spelt cringing, surely that can't be right! That would rhyme with 'singing'

So what did you do/say to make someone first accuse you of being frightening? Was it demands like these?

No. I'm quite shy and I think being quiet makes people think I'm being snotty. Plus I'm bossy at work so that probably accounts for it.

It's amazing what conclusions people can come to just as a result of not saying anything!
