h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Had to share this with the rest of h2g2 as it's been running round my head since yesterday and I'm curious to see what, if any, reaction there is. Ok, swallow your scepticism for a moment, dear reader. I saw a ghost yesterday...at work...and it wasn't scarey at the time. (Not that I'm complaining about that.)
I was moving stock around and the phone rang and as I turned to go and get it, I saw this old man, in a old looking jacket and an old man's hat, standing, looking at one of the displays. I was on the phone for about a 60 seconds and I was looking at the door and he didn't go out. (anyway our door ALWAYS bangs very loudly. That's our high-tech crime prevention system.) Got off the phone and went round to see if he needed any help and there was no one there.
I've seen things before and I'm not worried. It's just that they've all diminished in my mind over time, as I'm sure this will, to good stories to tell in the pub. And this one is still too close for comfort.
Oh, and when I turned the light off to go to sleep last night I was sh**ting myself.

Sounds quite, um, not sure. I do entirely believe you, for reasons I don't want to share. Just wondering what to say.

It wasn't anyone you knew, do you think it was someone related/connected to the shop, or the area?

Quite possibly, it's Covent Garden which has it's fair share of history. I've got over it now anyway. He didn't do me any harm so I can't really complain!

A fair amount of history round there fer sure! Might be worth keeping an eye out for more, or possibly just keeping your eyes shut LOL

Could be worse. It could be resident sick building syndrome! At least you can tell apparitions to go away...if you're very brave. Which i hasten to add I'm not.
