btw, the recent post from him about loving Oz really was from him, I reckon. Last email I had, he said his dad let him spend an hour in the cyber-cafe in Brisbane, and he hoped to drop a few messages at h2g2 and let people know he was still alive.

He's hacked my old account too.. the only thing you can do is hack into mike's account and change the password fo him, but I'm sure he wouldn't want us to do that.. Hey has anyone tried to actually tell the hotmail peeps about this problem?

I have got on to hotmail, but it's not my account being misused. You have to report the situation to [email protected] and tell them that [email protected] has been cracked. You will be the third or 4th person to do so. I asked them to suspend the account. The system is automated, and they may brush one or two complaints aside, but if enough of us write in, the more likely we are to protect Mike's name.

Do you know that this "foog" has also insulted other, adult, researchers on IM? And done it under Quorthon's name? I think Mike has had enough problems without this braindead prat impersonating Quorthon while he's unable to defend himself.

Since Katsy knows who he really is, you can rattle her cage. If she refuses to help, what choice do Mike's real friends have but to go over her head, to someone who WILL? Her older brother, being a computer professional, is not likely to very pleased to hear that she condoned this in ANY way.

This is the situation:
I met this "foog" over the net through avatar who I met on h2g2. Avatar goes to school, or at least did up until last month with him. If I were you leave Avatar alone as he is constantly being hacked by foog, if not bombarded by viruses by him. I tried to e-mail hotmail from my old account until foog hacked it and changed the password and security question making it impossible to check my mail. Quorthon knows he's being hacked because I sent him an e-mail the moment I found out, and he knew anyway because he found he coudn't gain access to it. I have no correspondance with foog anymore and have added him to my ignore list on ICQ.

Well done for blocking him from h2g2, but as far as I know he's hardly here anyway. I don't check the forum I went on with foog and avatar any more, that was at a time when I thought he was saying he was a hacker to show off, but I didn't realise he was serious until he started hacking. BTW if anyone gets an e-mail from [email protected] then IGNORE IT as that's the account foog hacked and it's under my name.

If anyone wants to e-mail me further on this then go to my user page as there's a number of ways to contact me from there, when you e-mail me I will reply from a different address you wrote to.

Oh, and BTW:Shim isn't interested, he's leaving h2g2 and he feels his job is done, leaving me to fend for myself. Whenever my other brother comes home he helps me out as much as he can, but even he can't do much, but he is just as good with computers as Shim:his job is a troubleshooter.

Don't kill me for this one:one of my friends has admitted to being a hacker and if you like he's going to hack into foog's account as soon as he can, if you like I could ask him to hack Quorthon's account and reclaim it for him, I'm gonna get him to reclaim my old account, that's for sure. He's a nice guy if you know him, which I have done all my life

Oh, and I never claimed to be ignorant of his true identity, as I said he's someone I met over the net and therefore whether I know his true identity or not I'll probably never know, I've been told his real name, but everywhere he goes he claims his name is foog 999.

Thanks, Katsy. I believe you've been in contact with SEglon so you know that we trained a couple of cannon on him.

The fact remains that foog knew to the day when Quorthon wasn't going to be around to protect himself any more. So we know he didn't act alone. I can understand that the accomplice would be laying low now, though. He or she evidently didn't realise how many friends our Mike really has.

If you think your friend can reclaim the Quorthon4 account, by all means have him try. I'm sure Q will appreciate that!

Are you telling me Sporklious Eglon is foog or is his friend? I was hanging around with Sporky just about the same moment as I joined h2g2 and only "met" foog a few months ago.......wow.........thing is when Quorthon logged on I was very suspicious, and asked him where he was, and the answer was "duh, they do have cyber cafes in Australia", which was a little nasty for him, and I guessed it was foog straight away.

Anyway, I'll have another chat with my hacker friend and see what can be done

NO FOOG IS NOT SPORKY and I'm sure I did not say that in my last post. Crikey. Sporky is not foog. He is not. Sporky is NOT foog. Not foog, not.

Sporky helped crack the foog attack. That's what I said. He was as irritated as the rest of us about the attack.

I think anything on IM from Mike A since Mike left England is suspect. He did mention something about not being able to access his hotmail account from the cybercafe in Brisbane.

I knew foog was a hacker ages ago, I just thought he was saying it to show off. Quorthon wasn't his first victim at all, infact I think avatar has been vicitimised more than once.

Whenever he does Mike does mail me from Australia, my word those e-mails are huge!
