h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I am a member of the Cadet Forces. Actually I am a Sea Cadet.

On Tuesday evening, NZ time, I will be promoted to the rank of Leading Cadet, which is equivilent to Corporal in the Air Training Corps and Army Cadets.

That'll be fun, finally I will have enough rank at JNCo (Junior Non Commisioned Officer) to order people around.

My mates are mostly higher than me, but they're all good. All my unit's NCO's like me but Greenfield, but he's annoying so I ignore him except if he's in charge. We are also soon going on a camp. Most my friends in that unit are a lower rank, only two are higher.

hmmm...... Try putting them in the Cadet Forces, that normally works. America doesn't have 'em, but England and New Zealand and Australia and Hong Kong and (etc.) have 'em. You can find out about ones in your region by searching "tri-corps" and your country name. If that doesn't work, try Air Training Corps, Sea Cadet Corps, or Cadet Corps, or Cadet Forces, and your country.

Other than that, it's all in the voice, as CPO (RNZN, not SCANZ) Dyer says. Show 'em you mean business

Ooh Yeah, they have to clean their room today! I'll think captain voice!
I'm going in to help them, it doesn't pay to supervise from a different room however, then nothing gets accomplished.
