It's raining, my kit bag is packed, I've got my saddle and sabre and tomorrow I go to Boulogne in France for a long weekend re-enacting and living under canvas. Hmmmm...I'm beginning to wonder if this is a good idea.

Of course it's not a good idea. Since when was having enormous fun a good idea? 
As I type, I've accidentally got wasted on red wine in prepraration for the beer fest tomorrow. You know we've always agreed it's dangerous to go to a beer fest when not hung over.
Hope you've had a spendid time 't**tting the Frenchies' and we must swap notes soon
