Well, I've decide to give the world of online match making a chance. Seems almost impossible to meet individuals in person these days, especially since I work in a field dominated by males.
My brother recommended a site and it seems to be holding promise. I've alread met a couple of interesting individuals and we will see what the future holds.

Well, THAT sounds like a fascinating venture! How are people vetted for this site? I would be interested to hear how you feel the attempted matches rate, i.e., how successful they are.
I suppose only one of them will be completely successful.

Well I can't say anything but go for it.
I first came across my current amour here in H2G2world. Down at the Irving Washington book nook of the Aroma Cafe in fact, with a discussion on dialect poetry. Book Club 8: Various Worden About Dialecten - at the end: F29359?thread=36090&post=236623

Lil -
The site has you fill out about 40 questions, most with check box options.
The site also has you fill out what you are looking for, using the same check boxes.
As near as I can tell, they give a higher percentage match to people who have a more restrictive criteria that you meet. Seems good so far. I have started an email conversation with a lady and we will see where it goes.
Phil - thanks.

Good luck! I'd certainly do online dating if I could. Nearly all my friends do thesedays. In fact one of them has only ever met two people offline, that's for someone who says "I lost count when it got to three figures"
