Hi, nice to see some true art/literature around here. Linus has stepped out, but I'm cruisin' the spots. I'll be jamming with the band at the Cheshire Grin Inn. Drop in if you get the chance.

It isn't mine... it is The Supermen, by David Bowie. And I will certainly try to drop by Cheshire when I can

Wow, do I feel ignorant. I really like David Bowie, too. I always followed his instructions and played the 'Ziggy Stardust' album LOUD!!!!smiley - smiley

David Bowie is an utter favourite of mine. Favourite album has to be either Hunky Dory or 1. Outside

OOOO, I almost missed this one. It almost went into the OLDER ENTRIES!!

I like 'Ziggy'. I can play a lot of that album on the guitar, but ashes to ashes is my best tribute.

I really like The Supermen, in verse. It is wonderful.... have you hear Unwashed and Somewhat Slightly Dazed?

Not that I know of. I'd probably recognise it if I heard it, though. I often feel that way myself. *sniffs under arm*

It's ok, not today folks!smiley - smiley

Oh yeah, love that. *sings* "Lady stardust sang us songs of darkness and disgrace, and he was all-right, the band was all together, and he was all-right and his songs went on forever. Yes he was up all night, really quite paradise, and he played all - night - lo-oong."

Hey, I knew I'd met you somewhere, it was right here! I saw your entries in Specialty Shops - Manchester!!?? I practically grew up there! I went to Long Trail School in Dorset, and used to hang out in Manchester after school while I waited for my ride back to Salem, NY. I now live in Cambridge, NY. I've never been to Bruno's Deli, but I always go to the Northshire when I'm in town. My favorite place to eat in Manchester is Up for Breakfast, love the Huevos Rancheros.
Well, I was just amazed that someone so near(or are you a tourist type?smiley - winkeye) was on H2G2, catch you later. Cheers!

A very small universe indeed. I live in Pawlet, Vermont, about a mile from Long Trail School smiley - winkeye And eight miles from Manchester. I love Up for Breakfast's Blueberry Pancakes- those things are massive. I actually went to Salem School.

I doubt we've met in rl though smiley - winkeye A little bit of an age difference.

wait, what's with the winks? Are you joking or serious? Pawlet is more than a mile from LTS and more than 8 from Manchester. Are you pulling my leg? I don't know your age, but I went to Salem Central from 1972 to 1982, I went to Long Trail from '82 to '85. I knew some people in Pawlet, on the Rupert-Pawlet road, I forget the name. Let me know when you were in school. I've got lots of friends in Salem.

Later...

Well, my actual address is in Pawlet, but I technically live in East Rupert. I say I doubt we've met in RL because I am ~only~ 18, and I graduated from Salem last year

You probably know my nephew, Maclane Harrington. What are you doing up, are you at college still, or home by now?

I do know a maclane... possibly we are thinking of the same one. I am home right now...

I am still up because I am always up at this hour. I sleep every other day, usually in the afternoon. "I love the nightlife"

Good for you. I'm up because I work from 3 to 11, and I hate wasting a perfectly good Friday night going to bed. I've only worked 2nd shift for a month, but it SUCKS!!! Saturday is my only night out(or Sunday smiley - sadface) but they even want me to work THEN sometimes. I gotta get a day job. I LIVE for the weekend! (and weeknights, before I started working them.)

How many Maclanes can there be? He just turned 16, he used to be a brat, but he's chilling out a bit. He's a motorhead, so we don't have much in common. I don't see him much anymore, but we're cool.

ooh, a little tired, that's why I'm rambling.....

OK, I don't know your maclane than smiley - smiley The maclane I know from salem is 19 now, and he is definitely not a motor head.

I am off to watch The Fifth Element. L8r
