Yeah, I just need to decide which weekend I will be coming down, as I really can't do both. Any thoughts? I know I know n.c. wants a ride one weekend, but dim. is only coming the other weekend, and I really want to meet him in person.

Hm...
Tough call...
If 'twere me, I'd pick meeting someone I've been talking to over worrying about giving someone I don't know a ride, but I'm fairly insular. *thinks back* Wasn't the ride offer pretty tentative, as well, since you didn't know which half you'd be going to?
On the other hand, Seattle is a 4 hour drive from Portland, right? (Last time I went to Seattle it was from Salem, and I don't think I'd even attained double digits yet! Oops, no, I'm wrong--outside Seattle's where Tom and I got off the freeway for gas and had a heck of a time getting back on, but as that was during our honeymoon, I wasn't paying attention to driving times then either) *back on track* So if you wanted to arrive in Portland roughly when I will on the 12th, you'd have to leave at 9--of course, if you're a morning person *looks at clock and thinks that it's not likely* that'd be no problem. On the 5th, you wouldn't need to leave until 11.
On the *other* hand *starting to feel like Tevya* I suppose you could drive down the night before and crash at GT's, huh?
