h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

I browsed your space a bit, very nice (better than mine- I haven't quite learned how to do any fancy fiddly bits yet)... I live in Washington and love kitties (though I only have one of my own and live with two, when I move out on my own I'll probably get more).

Um... that's about it for an introduction.

Hi! I added you to the Northwest researcher's group. Yeah, my space has slowly built up over time -- I've been on h2g2 for far, far too long. How did you find h2g2?

I found out about it through the collector's edition DVD set of Hitchhiker, then found the link through the BBC when I was looking for pics of the cast (especially Zaphod with his two heads and Ford with his blue contacts) to show my non-hitchhiker-aware friend in NC. Thought, "oo, neat." Didn't join at the time. Skip ahead a few months to a few days ago; just finished The Long Dark Tea Time of the Soul, have been very much wanting a travel-some lifestyle, decided it would be an excellent thing to be an official member of the Guide. And here I am!

The family cat is a 14 year old black-and-white 7 pound old lady, "Tilly". She's cranky but loves the comforts of a warm bed, warm lap with attentive human petter, patch of sun, saucer of milk, bits of fish or chicken... bowls of cereal left in the sink with milk still in the bottom... hehe

Skittles is my baby! She's 3 years old, she's a nutty 10 pound calico- mostly white with cow-like splotches of black and honey/gold. She's a sweeetie. Very adorable, very curious. Slightly clumsy. She likes pestering Tilly, gets hissed and swiped at because of it. Very loud purr. Very fussy about being restrained, especially in a box, and has a morbid fear of tape getting stuck to her fur...
