Hi there fellow mouse . Just been to your Cabbage Patch Kid conversation, fabaroonie My mum wouldn't let me have a CPK and I felt I was really hard done by Mind you they were nearly £30! They still are, probably the only things to have escaped inflation!

I finally got one three years ago from the design your own Kid bit of the official CPK website. (Which isn't there anymore which is a shame). She's got bunches and plaits (braids) and was bought for me by my ex-boyfriend as a touring mascot and she comes all round the country with me. Now that I've typed that it suddenly seems a whole lot dafter than it did five minutes agoOh well a bit of sillines makes the world a better place - Thats my story and I'm sticking to it.

Actually, I got one (or maybe more than one ) off the website as well. It was quite a downer when it disappeared without notice like that.

I still remember doing extra chores for neighbors and whatnot and saving my birthday money to pay US$48 for my first CPK -- I was about 10 or 11, and my parents thought it was awfully pathetic that I wanted to buy a DOLL! (Especially as I had never been interested them when I was younger).

Oh well...
