You sound like an Aussie with a motto like that!

Happen to be a uni student in Newcastle, England. From London originally. Does it explain anything? How did you find my home page?

Hmmm.... I just clicked on your name in the who is online list!
A random choice...
So what are you studying?

Pip Posted Nov 11, 1999
Architecture. So what do you do and why do you want to leave this planet? It happens to be a place where I'm quite settled, but then I haven't travelled much....yet!

Danisbackfromlunch Posted Nov 11, 1999
Unemployed web designer / musician..... That kind of thing!
Ummm... I want to leave the planet because the sky look alot more interesting!

Have you seen the Northern lights? I guess you haven't, and neither have I, but take a look at them before you leave. They are supposed to be something quite magical. Shame you don't have Southern lights.
Don't leave quite yet as your're the only h2g2 person speaking to me. Or just wait a while until I know more about this place. Like how do you check who's on-line.

You can check to see who is online on the homepage or on my page....
Go to my page and look under people, places and clubs.....
Do you play a musical instrument?
Hmmmm, I believe there is such a thing as the Southern lights..... but you need to be further south than I currently am!

I played the flute for three years and then discovered a social life so packed it in. I was always too clinical about it anyhow, could read fine but didn't feel the notes...do you know what I mean? I'd prefer to play the saxaphone, one day.
I need to go now but I'll be online tomorrow.

Bluebottle Posted Nov 16, 1999
The question we're all asking is - were you online "tomorrow"???
G'Day
Pip Posted Nov 18, 1999
How many of 'you' are there. Just curious as to how many asked the question and what the answer is. Oh, I know the answer to this one...no, it's gone. I always forget when tomorrow is and when it arrives I always think it's gone.

So I do, do I? I don't know, only you know the answer to that. Is that a compliment or a mild form of cheese that has just passed it's sell by date.
G'Day
Bluebottle Posted Nov 20, 1999
It's a compliment. I don't insult people, or at least, not often.
G'Day
Pip Posted Nov 20, 1999
Gald to hear it. To insult people is to degrade yourself. That's what a person once said. I don't know whether to believe that one. I only take the piss, but am also prepared to be pissed upon. Metaphorically of course.

I heard my name mentioned... I thought I'd better just check that nobody's insulting me, but as it's such a civilised group of people in this forum, I really have nothing to worry about.
Bluebottle's right... I have a tendency to forget what the time is, and what day it is, and what planet I'm on... something to do with only have 1 cell in my entire body, I think.
So you also are afflicted with being a uni student? I think that the government is changing the rules; I don't know about you, but I have to actually work... it is truly awful

To that, I agree. H2G2 is an education in itself and participation should be rewarded with, say, a degree. This work thing just doesn't seem to fit with the space and time I'm occupying right now. Time time. 'What' IS the time!
Key: Complain about this post
