I'm subbing the above, so please subscribe.
One thing I did have questions about was the writing side of her career, namely when did she start writing and when were her stories first broadcast on radio, and was the publication you mentioned in 1941 her first published collection of stories (as opposed to cartoons)?
She is a near contemporary of Laura Ingalls Wilder (1867-1957, publishing 1932-1943) so wondering to what extent Wilder's success may have been an influence if she was writing in a genre that Wilder had already proved there was demand for.

Thanks <BB< - I've subscribed
Good questions. She started thinking about writing a while before she attended the summer school, which took place in 1926. The stories were broadcast on radio from 1938. Her first published collection of stories was in 1941, yes.
That is interesting that her publishing career overlapped with Laura Ingalls Wilder and they were both writing about childhood. I had a look round, but couldn't find anything particular that would indicate Wilder's influence...
I hope that answers the questions

Thanks for thinking about that, you know I believe in the interconnectedness of all things and little exists in isolation
Would you like to have a read-through and let me know your thoughts if there is anything to change, or if it can continue on its way?
