Hi SashaQ
I'm you're sub editor for Fairyland
The new one is here: A87788470 Don't forget to subscribe
I play a few games on FB, but not this one and on first read through have a few questions to get me started:
A Facebook account is needed, but it is free to play (although players have the option of paying for extra game currency to buy more virtual stuff if they so wish).
I think, rather than the brackets we might use another footnote?
Some more days later, they become 'Ready for Harvest'
A few days later? Do different plants take diferent times to be ready for harvest like in Harvest Moon?
There are 42 Garden Levels in Fairyland, when different seeds become available for purchase
Do the different seeds *only* become available after the 42 levels or as you as you level up?
which count towards Wildlife Levels
Is this another mini game or part of the main game?
(if the garden doesn't have a game and it is at least three hours since they last revived a plant)
I'm not sure I understand this?
I'm sure I'll have a few more questions later.
Mags

Hi Magwitch
Thanks for your message

OK - that sounds good
A few days later? Do different plants take diferent times to be ready for harvest like in Harvest Moon?
Yes, they do - the quickest is 2 days, and the slowest (for Level 42) is 60 days.
Do the different seeds *only* become available after the 42 levels or as you as you level up?
Different seeds become available as you level up.
Is this another mini game or part of the main game?
The Wildlife Levels are part of the main game
(if the garden doesn't have a game and it is at least three hours since they last revived a plant)
I'm not sure I understand this?
If the garden doesn't have a game, then people who revive a plant will win the bonus of gold, but if they then revive another plant in any garden without a game within 3 hours, then no bonus is won.
Hope that helps

Hello again,
I've made a few tweeks to the text just to make it a bit clearer (see if you can spot them )
I've also removed a few of the 'Fairyland's as it sounded a bit repetitive.
See what you think, I can always change it back if you don't like what I've done
Still link hunting.

Hi Mags
Thanks for your message
I spotted a couple of typos in Footnote 2 - the number 2 has a space in front of it, and no full stop after it, and the footnote doesn't begin with a capital letter.
I also noticed that the paragraph starting "Facebook friends who also play the game..." has lost its capital F on Friends (but keeps the capital at the end of the paragraph). I just need to distinguish between Facebook Friends and actual friends*, so either a capital letter is needed for both mentions of Friends, or maybe 'friends' instead.
* I have no Facebook Friends who play Fairyland, but I do have some friends
I'm also not quite sure about "A few days later" in the third paragraph - even 7 days seems like a looong time when you're waiting for your plant to be ready! I might prefer "Some days later" but that's a nitpick, really.
Other than those very minor points, it looks great! Many thanks

Gotcha with the Facebook Friends thing, I have some that are only friends because we play Gardens of Time, I'll sort that out. (I should have thought of that )
'Some days later' just doesn't sound right, maybe 'after a few days'?
I'll sort the footnote.
*If* I can find any links (and I *am* trying, just not finding any yet) I'll pop 'em here first for your approval.

Typo in footnote fixed, that was me just c&ping and removing the link to currency (which I've put back somewhere else)
Facebook Friends updated.

Thanks Mags
The footnote number 2 is still floating in Paragraph 2.
In the Players section, I notice a sentence has been changed to "This has led to Fairyland jargon springing up", but I think it is correct to speak of "a jargon".
I approve of you removing some "Fairyland"s to reduce the repetition but I think "Fairyland" needs to be put back into the first sentence of the Developments section (I found the "it" jarred). Maybe take the "within Fairyland" out after Forum in the previous paragraph to compensate.
I spotted a stray apostrophe in the sentence "In 2013, for example, to celebrate it's fifth birthday".
You can leave "A few days later" - I wasn't sure about the word "few" but I can't think of anything better, and it is a very minor point.
Thanks for looking for more links as well - quite tricky, I found, as there are some words that seem like they should have Entries about them, but they don't!

That footnote was driving me bats, you know can look and look at something and not find what's wrong with it, might just be me, mond
I've looked and looked and looked even more for some new links, but I can't find any (we need more entries...)
In the Players section, I notice a sentence has been changed to "This has led to Fairyland jargon springing up", but I think it is correct to speak of "a jargon".
Changed that to 'a Fairyland jargon springing up'.
I'm happy with this now, if you are
If there's anything else you want me alter (it's *your entry* afterall, just pop a note in here. Otherwise, I think we can call this a good 'un.

Thanks Mags
Footnote 2 is much better, but there is still a full stop missing at the end of the paragraph!
I had another think about the sentences
"The seeds that are selected for each pot develop over several days into realistic portraits of plants and flowers such as herbs, roses or lilies. A few days later, they become 'Ready for Harvest'... "
in paragraph 3. How about...?
"The seeds that are selected for each pot develop over a few days into realistic portraits of plants and flowers such as herbs, roses or lilies. Several days later, they become 'Ready for Harvest'... "
(exchanging "several" for "a few" and vice versa)
Thanks for your work on this.

Hello SashaQ I'm Dr Anthea one of the arts editors,
we are currently working to illustrate your guide entry and I would be very thankful if you could send us a screenshot
if that is at all possible,
I realise this game is fairly basic on the graphics but rest assured any and all personal data will be removed from the image to protect your privacy. I have just contacted the creators of the game to ask for permission from them to use any image we manage to get.

*wave to Dr Anthea*
Sorted those last two bits, I agree that the changed sentence does sound better.
Anything else you spot pop it here, but I'm very happy with it now.

Hi Mags
Just one final, very very very tiny point... The number 2 at the end of paragraph two is the wrong side of the full stop
Otherwise, it is looking excellent
Thank you!

Hello Dr Anthea
Thanks for your message - my Fairyland Garden is currently looking a bit boring (and is black and white rather than green and blue because I have magic pots in there at the moment) but luckily I have rather a nice screenshot from last year so I will e-mail that through to you
Thank you

we will look forward to getting the picture,
the developers contacted me and said they are happy for us to use any screenshots or pictures as long as they aren't of moving gifs which isn't a problem

The 2 at the end is how it should be, I think. When I changed it, it floated in it's own little space on the line below. When this goes back for final polishing, if I've done it wrong it will be sorted

Thanks Mags
Unfortunately, when I look at Paragraph 2 I'm still seeing the footnote 2 to the right of the full stop instead of to the left, but as it is a very very minor point and can be sorted when it goes back, it's not a problem.
Thanks!
