Hi there,
I'm an INFP which is sort of like an INFJ but a lot messier....
You should consider doing a guide entry on this one!

That's a good idea. Wish I had thought of it. I had been trying to think of something to write about. Well, it's done now. Let me know what you think.

Good article! It is very comprehensive. As it covers all personality tests you should give it a title that makes sense to others "The Meyers Briggs Personality Test" or whaterver - its up to you. I see you are a little tentative with copyright etc., but I don't think there's a problem briefly reviewing stuff in your own words - people are doing it all over the place here! We wouldn't have a lot to talk about in this forum if we were not in a position to write about what we read or saw on TV etc. If in doubt, just write what you feel comfortable with. For a similar entry check out "http://www.h2g2.com/A147160". Hope this helps, CR

How about Myers Briggs Type Indicator? That's not really a question, though, seeing as how that is what the title is now. I edited the entry and sent it off to the *Scary music here* EDITORS *scary music continues, then fades*. Maybe it'll be approved and start a big forum about the MBTI and all the different types. In fact, I think I'll do that now.

I changed my mind. I'm only going to put up an INFJ forum. The other types can do theirs. They would be able to better represent themselves.

Go to my Myers Briggs Type Indicator entry and you will find out. Click the link to take the test and find out your type.

Actually, the MBTI is a bit suspect to say the least. It has some value, but really the whole thing shouldn't be taken too seriously. The point of the MTBI is that you are either one type or the other in any section, in other words if you are a caring feeling person then you cannot possibly be a thoughtful, logical individual. B***s**t. The same goes from where you get your "energy". That depends, doesn't it? It is also true that many people's "basic" personality actually changes with time, so it can't be very basic after all, then. Also, knowing the people you know around you it would never be possible to say that all of them cleanly fit into one and only one per
I think there is a value to it, ie that people are different, and that some personalities will not get on with others irrespective of what happens, however it is a bit sad that some companies and organizations actually use the MTBI to de-select potential interview candidates based on their personality type.

Redickerous? I only know a couple of INFJs, and two of them are total Winnie The Pooh fans.
Given that INFJ is the rarest group, I have to ask myself is there's some intrinsic attraction for
Pooh that INFJs can't resist? Honey?
I wrote a bit about the MBTI, but now I've read the other more serious ones I wish I'd left it alone.
MBTI theory says my ideal friend/partner is ENTJ (I'm INFP). I've never met a real-life ENTJ
though. They're all out marshalling armies or something. Whereas us INFPs can only
marshall mellows.
Why not visit Jellyland, my home page? A few comments from other people can only impove it ...
when 'they' get round to making journal editing available, that is, and I can correct all the gaffs ...
Be happy. Please. Thanks.

hello! according to the test thing i took, i am an entj ... but i really dont think i am the field marshall type...

I can empathise with that. I mean, how d'ya go about marshalling a field? Is it a magnetic field? A space in a database? I think they're causing unwarrented distress to ENTJs by setting these impossible goals. I guess it must be a new way of selling more books.
Seriously though, did you think the description of the type fitted you?
