I thought I would drop by your space rather than cluttering up the thread at Lil's with extraneous questions.

You obviously have great skill at being a salonista and have been at it for a long time. Hootoo is my very first excursion into cyberspace (other than email) and I feel very insecure at best. I appreciate all the patience you folks have had with me as I find my way.

You mentioned Oetzi in your reply to me, and I would like to read some of the conversation you are referring to. Could you give me a time frame so I don't have to read all of every conversation at Lil's to find this? I think that if I was able to read some of the stuff that was truly rude and irritating it would be a good lesson for me.

I honestly do not know how you people manage to keep balanced in this. I would like to be able to contribute to the conversation, read all the stuff that is interesting (and there is a LOT that is interesting), and still have time to take care of my garden, talk to my husband, play with my dog and cats, give my clients massage, do my own body maintenance. I read a post that is interesting, and click on the name to find out a little more about that person, start reading some conversation they were having, look at a journal entry or two and all of a sudden 3 hours have gone by and my house still needs dusting and the tomatoes still need processing. How do you do it? Do you set a timer? What?

Anyway, I am enjoying meeting you all, even though it gets frustrating and confusing at times. I am not going to give up just yet, and I hope you all won't give up on me.

Well, I got all kinds of answers re Oetzi and went and read some of those conversations. The Atelier was more than accommodating, I think.

Hey hmh! Sorry I just checked checked my message center, I wasn't ignoring you. I'm glad others were able to provide you the information on Oetzi. We try to accomodate everyone who joins in the conversation.

As for how I do it, I don't sleep! lol. Really though, I scan through most posts and if something catches my eye I read it in full. Sometimes someone will reference something I missed and I have to go looking for the original post but that doesn't happen very often.

Since you are going to school I'll bet you have gotten very good at scanning effectively. I know I did. Doesn't work to sleep with the book open under your face, though.
