This may sound like a strange question but is you ISP BTinternet?

I'm asking cos I'm trying to track down a bug that I have found with the Guide.

Aye, my ISP is BTi.

Which particular bug? It's been really weird for me lately, telling me I'm other people etc. and other people being told that they're me.

Thats the bug, I got logged in as you just over a week ago. I have been logged in as several different people too. Some have had BTi mail addresses, but some have been hotmail accounts or the like. I wonder if the BTi caching system is screwing up.

Yeah, I'm pretty convinced it's a caching problem. I think that every mistaken identity so far has been with a user who was also currently online.

Following what you said, I tried to connect via Demon tonight instead. No problems at all.

Went back to BTi, 3 different people in succession!

And now, I've just updated my homepage, but I cannot see any change. In fact, I only noticed that you'd replied in here 'cos I happened to be looking at another discussion and saw that a recent posting had been made to this one. But still my homepage doesn't show it.

I've been giving Peta full reports of what's been happening, with as much detail as I think could be relevant. But if it ain't an h2g2 problem, then ?

That all sound very familiar, I suppose BTi wouldn't be able to do much about it though. However this is a problem over their whole system so they may be interested, but I think they have enough problems of their own at the moment.

Well, agreed on the BTi problems!

I am now connecting through Demon, and everything's fine. Homepage is now up to date.

BTW I'm not using a proxy, which makes it all a bit weirder.

I'm now gonna re-connect with BTi and see what my hompeage says.

I'm now back on with BTi, and my homepage has reverted to the old state!

So I think it has to be a BTi problem.

She already knows, I've been telling her when things screw up as well.

Awww, no wonder the poor lass gets 800+ emails per day!

Maybe I should swap ISP, just to help her out.
