Jim, I'd like to ask your permission to bring my tour to your page as an exemplary example of a h2g2 homepage. That and the fact I quite like the Stainless steel rat books

Sorry I didn't reply before; I just didn't see this entry. I haven't quite got used to the new format which means I have to look at the left margin *and* the bottom of the page in order to catch all comments!
You know, I've spent years mentioning the Rat to people, and almost no-one knew what the hell I was talking about. Suddenly, I write one little article on h2g2, and there's a whole community of Rat fans out there of which I was previously unaware!
