Hi Dhammita,
the warmest of welcomes from sunny Kent.
I hope life in Colombo is treating you well at the moment my friend.

I can well imagine a beautiful summer's day in Kent.
Colombo is good. But, reeling slightly, after the recent increase in fuel prices.
Hey Michael, when are you actually going to visit this place??? You know you are most welcome.
Regards,
D

Hi Dhammita, yes it is a beautiful day as good as it gets around here, i should imagine colombo is not short of days like this. Yes the fuel is getting dearer here also but only gradually; maybe we should get a horse, i suppose you could throw the lawnmower away also and plenty of fertiliser for the flowers.
It would be great to visit you my friend, i worked with a guy from Sri Lanka who painted a very nice picture of the place when talking about it.
Maybe one day i will take you up on your offer while hoping you would be able to make it to the garden of England like it is today , at its best. London is on my doorstep also so you would enjoy it around here . You are also most welcome my friend, sureley the sun cannot do anything but shine when you visit.
Michael

Hi Michael,
I did my university studies there, in your beautiful country. So, I have loafed around quite a lot in the UK.
My country is a place you must visit someday. Maybe not right now, due to the security situation.
The first thing we do when you get here is Paaaarty !!!! Remember ??
The lifestyle here is diametrically opposite to what you are used to ..... in a nice sort of way. After my stint there in Ol' Blighty it took me more than two years of "getting used" to systems here.
My kids are planning to complete thier studies in Australia, instead of the UK. This will break a family tradition that has continued for three generations.
Regards,
Dhammita

Greetings Dhammita,
i hope you enjoyed your time here at university my friend.
I can imagine you know how to throw a party, i hope the security situation gets better; maybe like in Northern Ireland there will be and end to it all, then everybody can throw a big party.
In what way is life so diferent Dhammita , to what you experienced in England? Two ways of doing the same thing, eh?
Maybe if you have gandchildren they will carry on the tradition?
Australia is a good place so i have heard; i hope they enjoy their time there.
And now to stick up for the boys,
Greetings!:-) from the Garden of England.

Greetings Michael,
Yes. I had the most wonderful time over there.
I left Colombo immediately after A'Levels, hence, took time to adjust.
Have you been to the tropics?
See you,
DS

Greetings from Colombo !!!!
My dear friend,
Colombo is in jubilant mood!!! The government military forces claim they have defeated the LTTE rebels.
But, as you know, loss of lives (from both sides) have been too many. Hopefully we'll have lasting peace.
Trust you are getting on fine. See you soon.
Warm regards,
Dhammita

Hi Michael,
Thank you for your kind wishes.
I am sure everybody misses your reduced presence in H2G2.
Hope you were not disturbed by the gruesome news footage. War is a terrible and ruthless monster - I am confident our guys will simmer down. Right now, people are relieved and quite excusably, engaged in wild celebrations. After all we have been plagued for nearly 30 years.
Got back a short while ago from the club.
By the way, tomorrow has been declared a holiday!!!
Warm Regards,
Dhammita
