Hello Dhammita,
Hope all's well with you. Actually we didn't get any 'Easter' break as such, I've just been off h2g2 for about a week.
With the Scottish Canals link problem I sometimes find (if you know this already, please skip it) that if you right click on the small red X in the unopened picture then left click 'open link' or 'show picture' it will open.
It's warming up here now (32C) at the moment. Still it's been a decent winter for Saudi.
We do have a week off starting Wednesday April 9th. We have to run the 'April Fool' gamut soon. Do folks do that in Sri Lanka?
Thanks for your e-mails too.

Best wishes,

Paul

Hello Paul,

Nice to hear from you after quite some time.

Enjoyed the emails you sent today and have already dispatched them to my friends. smiley - biggrin

Scottish Canals the pictures were breathtaking.

Yes, we have "April Fools" pranks here. My kids will do their utmost to trick me, eventually I get "caught" before matters get out of hand. smiley - smiley

As you know Sri Lanka is right up there when it comes to holidays, Sinhalese (& Tamil) New Year holidays are just round the corner, mid April actually. We just came out of a 4 day Easter weekend. smiley - coolsmiley - cool

Expect some emails from me soon. smiley - biggrin

Best Wishess,
Dhammita

Hi Lapis,

Your memory is very accurate. There is indeed a type of yoghurt made from buffalo milk called "curd" sold in clay (yes reddish) pots in the deep south of Sri Lanka - en route to the jungles of Yala. Curd is usually mixed with Kithul honey to neutralize it's extra sourness.

How is your friend Tilak; is he well?

Thanks for all the entertaining e-mails, and, when are you coming to visit us? smiley - biggrin

Regards,
DSsmiley - smiley
