at the end of this month, i get a bus pass, thats free to travel from scotland down to london. but as im in the middle, either way would take me 5 hours to scotland or down to london. over the wales about 4 hours, and the west coast about 3 and half hours. on the bus. take care jimbob xx

Sorry I had to leave abruptly yesterday, it was my old school's "Big Match" and had to rush off so as not to miss the fun.

The "Big Match" is an annual cricket encounter similar to Oxford Vs. Cambridge. My school, St. Joseph's College played against traditional rivals, St. Peter's College, the match ended in a draw due to bad weather.

Needless to say we had the better team.

Do you enjoy cricket? If not sorry to bore you.

ive never been a sports fan, in 1966 i was a speedskater for a while, then i left home for the first time in 1967.

i used to watch f1 racing, but its changed to much, not the same anymore, to many new drivers.

on saturday i went on a bit of a spending spree. needed some fleeces, pants and socks.

last night i had a reformatting of a ladies pc near me to do.

today i was at the cyber/internet cafe, i can for a pound and hour have use of a pc, with headphones, cam, and mike.

if you want to try an msn connection, my hotmail addy is on my personal space, send an ivite and i,ll put you on the list.

ive had a few videocalls with a lady in china, the reception wasnt to good on the msn messeger.to china.

im watching as i write, the final of a celeb, skating on ice programme. i can watch and listen to any tv or radio programme while on the tv email to h2g2 lol

Hi there Jim hope you are well. Speedskating would have been quite a thrilling sport. I agree, F1 has lost a certain something over the years. But I still watch it whenever possible.

I too have all the necessary gadgets for video calls but rarely get down to using them. Will try one of these days.

So Jim, have you been to any countries in my part of the world?

We are getting ready for Easter with a spate of holidays starting thursday. My country easily has the most number of holidays in a calender year !!!! Around 29 of them this year.

ive never been outside england, ive lived in a few different towns, manchester, leicester, barnsley, sheffield, warrington and a few for a short time along the way.

ive been disabled since 1994, so i dont get far now, i went to a friends in scotland about a year ago. for a week.

the painter to fix the last ones mess came today, and as started to sort the house, with luck on friday it will all be done, then i have to fit the new stair carpet, and thats it done i hope.

ive had a new kitchen, shower room sink( as mine is a disabled shower)wiring for the lecy all through. an alarm on the house, smoke detectors fitted, and it asnt cost a penny lol.

my house is owned by an housing group and they had to do the house up, to come inline with the regulations now. take care jimbob xxx

Hope your painters have completed the works.

Must say, you're lucky to have all those installations done for free, even if your landlords are only conforming to regulations.

Does the "housing group" provide houses only for special requirements like in your case?

I am a civil engineer and involved in property development over here in Colombo. My company specializes in condominiums.

Will check out your photo site for any new pictures.

its good friday here, easter weekend

you can get a house with the council or housing, if you have the points, more children, or disabled, or in a place thats damp, or something wrong

in my case i dont pay rent or comunity taxes, i just get money to live on. there are lots of variations to how you can get a council or housing one.

there are also other assosiations
(sorry spelling not to good lol)

they also are renting hoses to people, and some dont have to pay, its done on the (department of health and social security)

or on the unemployement(jobseekers)

i live on a big estate will about 500 houses, at least 200+ are rented.

if you go to my space, fing the link, google earth, on the guide is my house location.

if you use the navigation, you can look about the estate and by scrolling down(so the map goes up), you will end up in the main town of bradford.you might need to go left a few inches.

i live in a 3 bedroom house, with a front and back garden, no driveway.

the painter as finished, and i fitted the stair carpet today.

all that left to do, is have three or four doors altered, as the paint as made them as i cant close them.

the best way is to set the slide show, they look better.

the two police station ons(from the h2g2 guide i did) have been comandered by a memeber on flickr called conner295. he as a group called police stations.

ive sent him also by email the guide page with all the info and links to the police and the t and a newspaper link, so he can look for anything he wants on the others in the area, some now closed.

i havent sorted what other 3d pics i want on yet,i lost one of the forums, and had to use a back wy of reregistering with my activemail to get it back, lol

sunday here was the first day of summer, our clocks went forward an hour, its now monday, at 9-25am, and the sun is shinning.

i cant go out today, as im waiting for the joiner to come, the painter as overdone it on 4 doors, and now they wont shut as they should lol, take care jim
