I have been contributing anecdotes and other information to a website concerned with the historical aspects of childrens' (particularly boys') school uniforms and similar http://histclo.hispeed.com/schun/country/eng/gar/coat/sue-coatgrh.html and would like to collect other information to contribute, particularly about the hooded raincoats and cloaks that were widely worn.
I wondered if this was compatible with your interests and whetehr the two could be integrated?
Information about the school and year, garment colour, material (gaberdine, melton, etc), manufacturer and supplier, style (coat or cloak, single breasted, double breasted, unisex, with or without collar), type of hood (attached, detachable, large or small, colour of lining, and if detachable whether compulsory or optional) would be interesting.
Anecdotes / reminiscences and where to access photographs would be really excellent.
Thanks in anticipation
