Hi there
Yes and YES!!
Had a lovely time there back at the end of March (and many times as a child). One of my aunties lives in Galway and I hadn't seen her for years, giving us all the excuse we needed to go over that way 
There's some incredibly beautiful places, we made it out to Aran and had a brief stay in Connemara. As ever, not enough time so we'll just have to go back another time. 
Only problem was we didn't manage to visit my aunty - guess there's a reason to go back sooner rather than later...
