I've looked at the Edited Entry on Prague and I don't think much of it, so I propose to do a major update of it. Since you're one of the authors of the original, I'm just letting you know, and seeing whether you have any major objections. I'll try and keep as much as possible of what it there, but I'll put in a lot more stuff. If you can help me, that would be great!

No problem Gnomon
My contribution to the Prague entry was, I think, my first posting on H2G2 It's certainly a very old collaborative entry and ripe for an update. Most of my contribution was about a day trip from Prague to Kutna Hora - I'd just been and images of the ossuary were stuck firmly in my mind. I've always been a little embarrassed that that bit got the picture and felt there wasn't enough about Prague itself in the entry. I've been a few times and loved it. So much to see and do and listen to. I'll be happy to help if you need it
Has the area recovered well from last year's flooding?

Thanks, Metal Chicken. Prague has recovered well from the floods, in the centre anyway. There may have been more damage in the suburbs which I did not see.
The Metro was closed from August until January but is now back in operation, looking very shiny and new. Some of the buildings right beside the river have the plaster stripped off them up to a height of about four feet and the underlying brick is exposed. Obviously the original plaster was damaged. THey'll be replastered soon. The Smetana museum, which sticks out into the river right at the weir has all been moved onto the first floor. The ground floor is being rebuilt at the moment, but I doubt they'll ever put any exhibits there again.
Other than that, you'd never know that there had been a flood.
