I'm off back to England now so I'm going to be offline for the next few days while I drive back and get things sorted. Last time I went home the dog had bitten through the telephone wire so it could be a while.

I'm just starting my last week of work in Germany (for the next year or so anyway) and getting ready to leave for England. Amazing how many different things I've got to do before I go.

Driving in Germany

After buying a car last week I finally managed to cut through all the red tape and drive the thing yesterday. It wasn't actually as bad as I thought it would be driving on "the wrong side of the road" after not driving at all for nearly three months. Took me a while to remember the handbrake was on my right instead of my left. Now that I'm used to driving here though I'm going back home to england for a week so I'll have to try and figure out how to drive in britain again (cleverly left the car with a full tank of fuel in my parents garage).
