I can't believe this. I just posted a long poem to Wandrin and it's vanished. Hope I didn't post it in another conversation by mistake.

I probably previewed it and closed the box. 16 lines of impromptu rhyme and it's gone!

*ahem*

Well not quite so impromptu, but I'll reconstruct:

Our beloved is 60 today
Let's sing and dance and
She feels younger (that's what they all say)
But then she feels rather a-gissle

Her English is better than ours
She teaches it to the Chinese
Bring her Champagne and flarze
and up with old Mother Brown's knees

A bit of a jig won't worry our
with her hair and her nails shaded copper
They'll come from near and afar
To see that she don't come a-cropper

Then we'll sit down for a meal to amaze yer
And listen to her tales all night through
As she tells of Africa, Lincolnshire and Asia
What a past - and only five foot two!

I hope she likes it when she comes back on line tomorrow.

She loves it, has printed it off to put with her birthday cards, a couple of which are rather risque (don't know how to do accents yet)

and actually I'm only five foot and three quarters of an inch
