Alas, you my dear have truly lived! What adventures you have explored! To have lived half as much as you would be wonderful! One moment in your life could have been one of my many daydreams...for i am just a middle class housewife...drudging through life daily with the monotonous routine of suburban life in middle America. I am grateful just to have read your page...michelle

Dear Michelle
Thanks for dropping by. It _has_ been a wonderful life (mostly). When I was in hospital last year I emailed my nearest* and dearest(*actually they're on the other side of the world) to that effect. Teaching English as a foreign Language enables travel with just about enough money to bring up a couple of kids happily. I have worked in Switzerland, Ethiopia, Malawi, Lesotho, Cameroon, Shanghai, Poland, Australia, Bulgaria and Hong Kong in that order The children went home to boarding school when there was nothing suitable in Shanghai, but continued to visit for long holidays. In fact, I'm planning a big binge at the end of this month as an early birthday party for me and to introduce my elder son and his wife to just about everybody I know here. I'm hugely looking forward to the end of my "first life". I hope that when you're this old the balance of your memories are happy, sweet too
