The Morning Star

I have a puppy. He wakes me early for a potty break and I rouse him from his kennel and take him into the yard for pre-dawn bladder relief. To the East (possiblty southeast), I see a bright star, Venus. It is absolutely the brightest thing in the heavens and very beautiful. This is the only advantage to getting up so early.
