I don't know if you ever managed to get that Zaphodista petition delivered to the BBC, but regardless, the moderators will soon be taking a vacation from h2g2...

...and if we all act civilized, it'll be a permanent vacation. (no offence intended to the moderator reading this posting )

Given time, I knew that Peta would be able to grind down the BBC's resolve.

Come to think of it, I never followed through on my threat to send a paper copy of that forum where everyone virtually signed the petition. Imagine how much sooner this might have happened if I had done it!

Actually there was very little response when I tried to do one last petition drive, so I never bothered turning it in. Either way, the people who needed to know about those signatures (Peta & Mark) were already aware.

Do you have reason to believe it was Peta who spearheaded this? Is there a cool inside story you can tell without being hunted down later for revealing it?

I've just heard rumours - something about her being painted goo blue and running naked through the bbc legal office cutting off solicitors' neckties every week until they agreed that we don't need moderation (just severe electric shock therapy! )

Usually I don't believe what I read on the internet without checking reliable sources, but this one is so obviously in character that it must be true. Off to spread the tale, trying not to embellish...
