Well that was quick - sold within 12 hours! 
I got contacted with an offer to sell if for £30 (it's more or less what I was expecting to get for a damaged, 2 year old 2nd generation iphone) so I adjusted it to a 'buy it now' as requested and then - sadly for the original requested - someone else has bought it 
Shame, but then, that's the game.

Mmm, and then I discover I have to pay both ebay *and* paypal. Mmm that'll be the excitement fading as I discover the truth about how much it costs to sell on ebay then
