Hi Orcus,
Got a favour to ask
When you get a moment, could you have a read through A5113388?
It's an article I have just started (it is in 1st draft form atm) on Stirling Engines, with an aim to getting it into the EG.
Thing is, these engines are a bit complicated to understand how they work (well, I found it so when I started reading about them!) and I am unsure about the middle section which describes in detail how the 2 main forms of the engine work.
It's a bit long winded so I'm not sure whether it works, or whether it is worth removing it and providing a link somewhere.
Oh, and any one else lurking these, feel free. But I'm only interested in that at the moment, the entry hasn't even been put in proper order or GuideML so don't worry about spelling and layout!

Hi, just read through it. It reads fine, I haven't looked at any diagrams but i think I've got th picture
I think it would be a good idea to put links in to some though.
Interesting article, I'd not heard of the Stirling engine before

Ah, thanks for that.
I was a bit worried it was going to be massively long and boring with the descriptions. I guess I might be able to get one of the community artists to create an appropriate image for use or something.
Stirling Engines are pretty cool, go to stirlingengine.com, an american site, where they sell the models. I do like the victorian look one, but at a shade under $2000 I guess I'll have to admire from afar!

Yes, they are nice.
They look a bit like the model time machine in the old film version of HG Wells' The Time Machine (50s or 60s version) if you've seen it
