Couple of points: You wont find any serious pieces on the portfolios of any serious writers on here. that's because anything on here is considered as 'published' by magazine editors and competition judges. And sadly, those pieces would therefore be ineligible for submission.

So don't judge crits by work you find on peoples pfs. Anything half decent is NOT on here, I promise you.

Also, serius writers wont have time to look at people's work at random. far too busy, Im afraid.

However, I, and others, I'm sure, are still more than happy to do proper crits of pieces, if you would like that. Honest feedback. Just leave a mesaage on my pf, for example, now and again, if you have something you would like critted.

And why on earth aren't you subbing your pieces if you've been writing that long?

I am over fifty, have been writing for years. was pushed to submit stuff earlier this year. Now have nearly 30 acceptances in web or print magazines. And some competition success.

Don't keep your light under a bushel, as the cliche goes..

Thanks for that.

I had no intention of posting anything substantial on site. Still want to 'join in' though, play the game if you like.
Part of the reason for being here is to get some feedback on what I do. How I write, and the kind of stories that I post. Hopefully that will raise my confidence.
It's picking out the worthwhile people, who's crits I can evaluate.
And as for not subbing; tell me about it!!!
