I enjoyed your other forms of train station psychosis and followed you here to see who Adz is. Nice straightforward home page, refreshingly free of ems and ers and shuffling paper.

I'm a computer worker also, although we have very divergent life styles, probably a function of my greater age. I haven't done clubs since I worked in Corfu nearly 20 years ago.

Where have you been in the US?

Lil

Hi there.

Ugh. Caught up in the silicon age as well are we? It's a dark silicon world out there, as my eyes remind me every day at about 6pm.

I've never been to Corfu, but spent some time among the southern islands, Santorini, Paros and my favourites Mykonos and Delos. One has all the party stuff, which is so renown down there, the other has a whole bunch of really ancient stuff from the early Greecian times. I like that ancient stuff.

America is really a great place. I have a bunch of friends over in New York spending their lives in front of CRT's so I hung out with them for a few months. The lifestyle is really good in Manhatten, though it doesn't have the nightlife London has. It was a touch choice between getting a job there and hanging out with my best friends, or starting afresh in some new city that looked like it was going to suck the life out of me. smiley - smiley

I flew from NY to LA to meet some other friends from New Zealand and we drove about the mid-west for a month. We set out in Autumn which is my favourite season, and I was pretty stunned by all the natural colours the Mid-west holds. Some of your stuff even rivals some of our natural beauty at home! To cut a long story short (and it is a long story) We went through most of the national parks in the area as a prime goal. California, Arizona, New Mexico, Utah, Colorado, Nevada and back to California.
I was pretty impressed with Yosemite and its waterfall and mirror lake.
The Grand Canyon was a -lot- bigger than I thought it would be. We went down to the bottom and rode some horses. That was great.
Arches was very cool, took a lot of photos there, as was monument valley where those monsters really stand out.
Reef Canyon? had an impressive display of organ (church, not living) -esque formations.
Death Valley and its flat ridged salt deposits were pretty cool too.

There's the condensed version, cause I can go on for hours about it!

I hear that Yosemite is just awesome. As it happens, I have never been west of Des Moines, Iowa -- until next week, when I go to El Paso, Texas and Lincoln New Mexico. Primarily for business, but you know I'll spend as much time as I can looking around.

Happy coding...

Lil

I hear that Texas is well worth checking out. Let me know what you find there.
