Hmm? Were you saying something?
Sporkulious Eglon Started conversation Oct 14, 1999
Just kidding...
Hello! It seems a shame that nobody has stopped by to greet you yet... Usually the Jester and Peta (our Web-mistress) beat me to the newbies. Well, I think you've pretty much got things under control- right now you're probably looking up some of the strange people that are online... well, let me be among those! Indeed, my page is under construction, and I'm tottering off for a bit...
As you can tell, I am a procrastinator; part of a 87.4% margin that resides on h2g2, with the remaining 12.6% just being bored losers...
Well, have fun!
Tata, Tootles, and Cheerios,

Thank you for making me feel welcomed and seen. I don't think I have never entered a web based forum where I was greeted by a human before.
Your header hit a spot more sore than I'd care to admit. While opening your reply I was already preparing my retaliation; "Yes, I said something and you read it. How about that!'
Doesn't that sound like I expect to be attack somehow? Funny, I know myself better already. "Tense" might be a good word.

Well, when I read your intro, I thought to myself that you were definitely being influenced in such a way that you felt you were the victim of a, er, certain bias- well, we're not all pigs: we all have our own problems! You have every right to demand respect!
Anyways, you reminded me of someone I know...

If you feel you have the time, would you like to tell me about Someone?

A combination of a friend (I have a friend named Meagan who is gorgeous... I like her because of who she is [she makes me laugh], yet she is subconscious and always worried that everybody likes her because of her looks) and my english teacher (she is a feminist, and is only too aware that most men think with their, um, fallic member).

I'm just saying hi! too. I agree with SE that you sounded a bit pushed. I'm sorry you felt so defensive, but it sounds like your headaches don't help.
Lots of people round here are \very/ careful to conceal who they really are. What gender, what race, what country even. Such a complete baring (almost literally) of yourself, was a bit surprising to me.
Most everybody I've met is very, very friendly. They may or may not be IRL, but here, they're wonderful.
I would like to say I have no time for feminists, but that isn't true. They have done much, and have many interesting things to say. It's the feminazi and any other hate filled people I can't cope with. I despise misogynists also. Accusing men of thinking only with their wossnames may be partly true, sometimes. But its also true of women, who can also be driven by their wossnames.
Sorry, that was all a bit deep for a quick hi, wasn't it.
I'll try again.
*Walks out & in again*

Have you been hanging out with Baron Saturday?
Hmm? Were you saying something?
Zed Posted Oct 24, 1999
No, why, should I have been? I understand he's a nice bloke, but I've not met him yet. Are you saying he talks drivel like me, or I talk drivel like him

I am sure he's nice. Generally speaking most people are. And what's the point of a lexicon if not to generalize?

Sporkulious Eglon Posted Oct 26, 1999
The Baron is the only person I've heard that uses the term Feminazi, that's all (I hang about with him quite frequently)...
And good point, Queen (is that all their is to your name? Not that I have anything against it, but I always want to follow it with something...)

Main Entry: mi·sog·y·ny
Pronunciation: m&-'sä-j&-nE
Function: noun
Etymology: Greek misogynia, from misein to hate + gynE woman
Date: circa 1656
: a hatred of women
- miso·gy·nic /"mi-s&-'ji-nik, -'gI-/ adjective
- mi·sog·y·nist /m&-'sä-j&-nist/ noun or adjective
- mi·sog·y·nis·tic /m&-"sä-j&-'nis-tik/ adjective
Yeah, I must admit I don't agree with them much either. Now what I trying to figure out is what made you bring it up. Do I sound like an aggressive feminist (it wasn't my intention) or have you visited my homepage?
Anyway; Warren Beatty says in Truth or Dare that she (Madonna) doesn't feel there's a reason to live off camera. Even if it's not true for her, sometimes I feel like that. What's the point of writing a diary if no one's ever going to read it?
It's rather the other way around, why write something down if you don't want any one else to read it? It's pointless. A secret's better kept in your head.
The Internet provides the perfect forum for us with a need to be seen, but without the ambition to become famous.

Yes... too true... What was that definition for?

Oh, now I see where the feminist stuff came from. =P
A guy said to me once that the problem with me is my brain is not in sync with my looks. He thought I was pretty but only moderately blessed in the ways of IQ. His conclusion was that I had just discovered I wasn't as smart as I was pretty and that that made me depressed.
Funny, how much stuff goes on in your subconscious without your knowing. I don't think he was right. I was mobbed in school. Generally considered being ugly. I always conceived myself as ugly and a social misfit.
As I grew older I figured out what makeup and contact lenses can do for your face. I still feel like a freak though. Like some one forgot to clue me in on some basic concepts of communicating and interacting with other people in day to day life.
It's just one of those things. I try to remember I am only the center in my own universe.

Zed refereed to "misogynists". Too many syllables for me so I looked it up.
Regarding names; I wish I could say something clever like you're suppose to fill in the blank yourself. But I just used Queen as a character name on NuclearWar*. Not queen of anything specific not crowned or even named.
BTW, I know a woman whose first name is Miss.

Um, I'm a bit confused as to which post I'm replying to, so bear with me.
SE - I either picked-up 'feminazi' from the baron on my way past, or from private eye or something like that. (Private Eye is a british satirical magazine, Queen!)
Queen - I'm glad you saw where I was coming from on the feminist stuff. No, you don't sound like an aggresive person, but I have been to your homepage.
I agree with what you say about the journal, I write lots of stuff in mine, stuff that I probably wouldn't say to my friends, but that needs an outlet, and my online friends can read if they want to.
I gotta ask, is miss' surname trey? or fire? please let it be something fun. I knew of a guy once named roman warrior!
The big secret of exsistence is that an amazingly small number of humans know how to communicate with other humans effectively. Shh, don't let them know.
I take it you don't have brown eyes then really , or did you wear glasses b4, is that what you mean about contacts? I think you come across quite attractive in your photo, which is why most of us don't publish them. IRL, SE is a supermodel and I'm ugly as a bucket of witworth bolts, but nobody online knows that!
I'd like to say something really profound about centre of the universe type stuff, but I'm as self-centred as a gyroscope.

Yes... we are each the center of our own universe... Everything that matters in this world is based on personal views... I may be a capitalist slob (which is, sad to say, true...), but for some woman in Port de Le, France, the most important thing may be getting laid by her next door neighbor... Nobody holds any other person in contempt for being who they are...
And yes, I am one of this world's highest paid male supermodels... just don't let it out
