Jimcracker, I'm not going to discuss your submissions on Opti's journal, because I don't think that's fair on Opti.
Under my Editorship, we've published three of your submissions and rejected two, and I sent you the reasons why we rejected those two by email (the second one rather belatedly and with an apology for the delay). We won't even read your latest submission until September because we're on holiday until then.
I also believe you're being incredibly unfair; as you say yourself, 'i cant help having poor scholing, and bad gramma, i dont have anyone to chek it and make it acseptable to ' and the Ass Eds and I have spent an awful lot of time correcting those very things to make your submissions suitable for publication. That's what we do. We edit and polish, but the work has to be a rough diamond in the first place, and I'm afraid not all of your work is up to publishable standard with or without the attention of an Editor. EMR edited by the same standards as me, and she also put a lot of hard work into editing your pieces; you can't claim any kind of 'historically unfair' treatment, not in the time I've been around.
Essentially, if you don't appreciate the work we put in for you, I suggest you stop submitting your work and simply create your own entries instead. I'm happy to discuss any aspect of your work with you, but not until you begin to accept that some of your writing isn't good enough for us to publish. That's the simple truth, I'm afraid.

as i said, i know im no writer, never will be, but ive submitted a good few, i know they may not be good enough, but it would be nice to get an email to say so.
-
im on digi and have two keyboards both over ten yrs old, and ex telewest dont have them anymore.
-
so when i write a message, i should check, but never seem to, just hit send and wait, being digi, it sometimes fails if i leave it.i get timed out.
-
when i write a guide, i make the mistake of going outside the amount of space i have, and if i have to edit, some gets lost, and i get frustrated.
-
sorry its me blowing off steam, things arnt going well at the moment. lodgers gone, and still having problems with bills getting me down.
-
i can do the jist of a guide, in the past i did better, but dont seem to get the spark back.
-
opi.s journal just appeared at the wrong time.and my hayfever was driving me nuts.
-
i sent one a week back, in replacement for one yiked, to much info this time on the tinypic link jim

I accept your apology, Jim. I'm sorry you're having such a bad time, but I also hope you realise that we do have editorial standards to upkeep. And I have no desire to fall out with you
I have checked since your last email, and there is indeed one piece I haven't replied to (as well as the one we won't be looking at until September), so my apologies for not doing so. I always try to reply to any rejections explaining why we've said 'no' and giving pointers on how to improve the piece, but it seems I didn't that time. I'm genuinely sorry about that.
Finally, we've always tried our best with your pieces, and any time we reject a piece it's always a group decision. I can assure you that if we do turn anything down, it is not because of bad spelling or grammar; we may delay publication because of editing time, but we don't reject on those aspects alone. We judge on the quality of the writing alone.
Hope life gets better for you soon, fella

hi
-
in a way we where both right, and wrong in different ways, i was right i got on reply, your right to reject my writings.
-
i was wrong to expect to be able to keep what i did before, in the five that where used.
-
im getting to old to work out the layout,i just as they say, put pen to paper, and ive no one to check or help me like in the past, rev nick, and alleycat.
-
i suppose it was that i wanted to offer something to h2, as in a way ive been an interloper, i dont use a pc at home, just the good old digi for now.
-
the two i hoped would do the trick, was the sci-fi ones,i whatch so much of it, and horror films, i was trying to use something i sort of knew about.
-
maybe its time i gave up sending any, you can asess the one ive sent, and if it isnt upto standard, there is nothing i can do to improve it, the story behind a nightmare to me is there. its in yours and the teams hands. jim
