I'm sorry for adding to what has been a very rough time of the year. I'm sorry if I sounded like someone who wanted to take over. I didn't mean it like that - someone annoyed me today, I got incredibly annoyed - which I try never to do - and all I can do is say sorry.

Don't be silly, mate - I didn't interpret it that way at all. You amused me, in fact, and I *like* people who take daft ideas to the next level. You've actually become a cricket captain in the same way I did; by simply saying 'hey, that sounds like a good idea'. I thought it was brilliant. You round up a team, kidda - it will be a joy to lock horns with you 
We all need these distractions from time to time, eh?
