Do you have to be a community artist to enter a piece of art to the post.

No, you don't! The Post is open to all members of the community, whether they be volunteers or not. We're especially keen on new artistic contributors, in fact - there are a lot more writers on h2g2 than artists.

That is brilliant thankyou because I have entered a piece of art work for the post for next week. It might be rubbish or it might not fit to the standards but I felt like doing some art this time.

Ah, you've saved it as a docx file - created in Word 2007, yes?

I can't open docx files, because I don't use Office 2007. Could you save it again (use 'Save File As...' or similar) in the old Word 2000 or 2003 standard (save as .doc instead of .docx)? If so, I can take a look.

Don't worry about that. Here at home, we all still use our six year old home computer and it is xp.

I have got another question about sending art work for The Post and does the art work have to be a certain size because this time I sent the art work just as it is and I am worried it might be to big but I don't mind sorting out the size if it needs to be changed.

When you get to five Post articles, by the way, you get a Post Reporter badge on your PS. You're just two away now smiley - biggrin

Oh Brilliant. smiley - smiley
Where do you get the badge and how do you put it on.

It's quite simple. We tell the Eds that you've earned it, and they pop it onto your Personal Space. If you look on the right of my PS, you'll see I have a few there that I've been awarded for volunteering. The Post badge is the green one smiley - smiley

Would it make your job any easier if I downloaded the file WS_FTP LE the file transfer package because I read the Community Artist homepage and noticed they said it is better to transfer files that way.

Don't worry about the Community Artists pages - we're completely separate to them. Using ftp would be no good for you anyway, as you don't have access to the BBC's servers. Just keep emailing them in, and we'll take care of them smiley - ok
