So EMR's excuse for not putting in my second instalment of 'Notes From a (very) Small Island' will be that she wasn't in charge this week?
Still there's always a silver lining... at least the pressure is off me getting the third instalment finished.

Ah, sorry - have I missed one?
Actually, I took an editorial decision that people would much rather hear about Devon than Jersey, so I pulled the plug on it and deleted it from our inbox. You'll also find that I've wiped it from your hard drive - and don't bother checking the 'sent items' folder of your email account either. I've found every trace of every version that's ever existed, and they're all gone.
Get back to me when you've done 'Scribblings From a Lonely Moor' in 42 intelligent and witty parts. I'd like them next week, and they'd better be bloody good. Got it?

Come back EMR, all is forgiven. As for 'Scribblings From a Lonely Moor', there's a cracking idea. As for '42', 'intelligent' and 'witty', well, erm, maybe I'll pass for the moment.
It's quite possible that I didn't make it totally clear to EMR that I had a second one lined-up and ready to go, and being as this Post business is all a bit new to me, I shall accept the blame entirely.
Keep up the good work, and here's to another guest ed spot in the future .

We didn't actually get chance to catch up between issues, so it may just be that she knows about it but couldn't let me know! I just went by what was in The Post's intray, and there wasn't a part two there. When did you send it in?
Many good ideas are formed in jest - I might have a scribble from the moor sometime myself
