Thanks to blowing of said trumpet, I may have an upturn in my work fortunes
I've been doing these camps for seven years or so now, and I came out with a daytime version that I can run for schools quite easily. It didn't look like it was going anywhere. I kept blowing, though, and mentioning it whenever I could. A couple of weeks ago, I got a call, explaining that there was a site near me that might be suitable for my Wild Journeys. Was I interested?
I went to see the site yesterday, and the woman who runs a nearby centre was there when I went to meet my boss. Turns out they want to use the site in conjunction with the centre; they're both really keen on the idea, and we might be able to get some bookings from the spring. and I might be able to run this at the site as well: http://www.jmt.org/about-the-award.asp
Came home with a migraine, but hey-ho.

That's great news, Skanks. It is, after all, the stuff that you really love isn't it?
Good luck - and keep us posted

Btw, the John Muir Trust is a wonderful thing. When I worked for SNH, we had quite a few links with volunteers and organisers. All good. Actually, a lot of staff were involved one way or another

Yes, 'You' certainly are
I've just emailed a friend about JM, and I think I'll be trialling my way of doing the Award with them in the autumn. I can't wait

Fantastic
I'm really hoping to be able to get involved in some environmental education again soon. If the NZ job comes off there is potential
