Your "official" capacity...

Since you're a sub-ed, maybe you can help with this one. Apparently, a small typo snuck through... though I have to say I think this researcher's input is more than a little rude, especially as it's his/her first post to the site. http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/classic/F94991?thread=4096963 Maybe you can help get the typo corrected? And maybe respond to the not-so-polite comment in that special, oh-so-polite way you have of speaking?

I'm glad you think so smiley - smiley I actually phrased it in my mind while in the shower after reading his post - odd where inspiration comes from, isn't it?

I can relate to having inspiration dawn whilst performing the most mundane tasks (or sleeping!), so I know what you mean and don't think it's *that* odd.

While I know I could have posted to the Feedback forum, I knew you had the ability to correct the typo as well as the pleasant but firm demeanor necessary to deal with such a thing. I've not had the honor of helping in the editorial capacity, but I do get a bit defensive (even of folks I've never spoken to) when someone trash talks the Guide or its hard-working contributors. I know how much time and effort I put into the two edited entries I've got.

And I'm working (slowly) on my third. Better late than never. smiley - winkeye

Thanks again.
