As you know, emr, I've a lot of respect for you as a Sub. On reading my Metals entry again, you've brought it through to me how much I use the non-parenthetical dash - I really must try and cut down.

I actually use them a lot in my own writing too, but I do pick up on them in others'. This is why one should never, ever sub one's own writing. You're welcome.
