I thought that, but there is no edit button that I can see. Submit for review or remove name is all I can see.

Okay... I didn't realise it worked like that. I guess if you have your name on it that doesn't give you editing privileges. We'll create yet *another* entry... and I'll delete the one I made. Here's what to do:

1) Go create a new blank entry.

2)Open a new window and go to http://www.bbc.co.uk/dna/h2g2/brunel/test3962162.

3) Copy and paste the text from the first tag to the last tag into the new entry. Don't include the tags.

4) If you want to add my name to the entry (not obligatorysmiley - smiley) you can scroll down to 'Set Researchers' and type in '929375'. This is, as I said, optional. I simply mention it for sake of completeness.

5) 'Create entry'! Now you can edit it... but I can'tsmiley - sadface Must ask someone if there's a way for two people to edit an entry at once... but I doubt it.

No pain! This is why you're getting a ride to the Guidesmiley - smiley

You've done it in plain text instead of GML. That's easy to fix. Just go down below the edit box to the place where it says 'change style'. Select 'GuideML' and click the 'change style' button. That should fix it.

You still working on this, Rhynch?

It's okay if you just don't have the time for it now. I just want to make sure you're still interested.smiley - smiley

Hello EMR

Sorry to be a bit tardy in replysmiley - erm but life keeps interfering with my attempts to get into the Guidesmiley - smiley. I have been spending most of my time recently brushing up on how to write reviews(Sci-Fi+Fantasy) as I have had the good fortune to have 2 Reviews accepted for publicationsmiley - biggrin in a national daily newspaper. I would still like to have this bit on Aussie surf in the Guide and I can not thank you enough for being so kind to take the trouble to sub it for mesmiley - cheerup(flowers not cheers) oops I just remembered your a Tomboy not a Flower girl, perhaps a beer or somethingsmiley - erm. If you can bear with me for a little while I will get round to looking at the changes you suggest! I reckon you would love the way they Sub articles here in Australia. You Fax your Review in and if one of the Editors like it then they contact you and suggest a few things and then...Get this! and I quote..."Just send your thoughts and insights in on the book in question and then one or other of our subs will tidy it up for you via me and then its all down hill from then on!, just sign in the appropriate spot!!'COOL'!! once again EMR thankyou for your time and effortsmiley - smiley...cheers Rhynch

ps:I wish I could post what the Editor thinks of Hootoo! I dont know if you have watched the show...'Little Britain' ,but his thoughts run along those lines! Once again thankyousmiley - smiley(I guess I should be thankful that he has heard of it! Most people have not it seems)

Hello ECM. How are you? I hope your well and things are good. I tried to put your research number in the entry and it kept putting you in the written and researched part and me in the edit part. I was going to enter it this evening(my time) but it might look a bit funny with me as editor and you as researcher and author. When you get round to reading this drop me a line on the correct way to do this and then I will pop it in for review just as it is as I am too busy with life at the moment to devote much time to hootoo. Cheers Rhynchsmiley - smiley

Hi Rhynchsmiley - smiley

I'm well, as usual, and it's good to see you're still around. I know life can get a little too hectic for hootoo sometimes, but we just work it in when we can, eh?

Okay, the way the system is, it automatically makes the person who created the entry the 'Editor', and anyone whose name is added to it is put in the 'Written and Researched by' part. This is what it will look like when it goes into Peer Review, and then when it gets recommended and is edited by a sub-editor, that person's name goes into the 'Edited by' box, and anyone who worked on the entry gets their name in the 'Written and Researched by' box. You don't need to put my name in if you don't want though. Most reviewers (which is all I am) don't get their names in.

Good luck!smiley - ok It's a great entry you've got here. PR is a scary place, and not for the faint-hearted, but I know you can do it.smiley - biggrin
