Hi EMR, I was just wondering - how did you become a BBC Tester? And me being the nosey person that I am, was wondering also what it entails... because it interests me you see
And also, how are you these days?

I expect I probably volunteered at the Testers page over at the DNA Hub: A870194. The group's not active at all these days, though - I'd assume because BBC development is no longer centred on DNA. When we did have stuff to do, we'd get to log onto a test server to test out previews of new DNA sites/features. We'd have to try posting, making complaints, that sort of thing, trying to find bugs and reporting them. Sort of a closed beta type of situation.
I'm all right I suppose, though swamped with real life as I work on starting the transition from school to university. I don't know until April where I'll be next fall, which is kind of daunting. However, I just turned 18, which is very exciting.

It sounds like fun, shame the project seems to have died... But then I probably wouldn't have been satisfied with that, I'd have probably wanted to help code the site myself But I'd be surprised if I had been the only one, maybe thats why its no longer a priority...
Glad to hear you had a good time turning 18! Although I'm 25 now, so ageing is becoming less fun , not old exactly - but don't really want to be much older
So hows the Post going? I've got this story burning a hole in my brain that I'm struggling to find the motivation to write, but almost wants to write itself...
Its about the survivors of the end of my last story, but they find this boy who, who there is more to than he realises... Its more a reboot of my original idea for 168... but its no longer really about that... more trying to fix the holes in the universe after the disaster that has befallen it. Its almost more of a Time-Travel story with space elements (following the surving mish-mash crew of the CMV Firestorm), and actually would probably lend better to a group of short stories, than a long serial... but could probably lend to either...
It also gives me a chance to fill in some of the rather large gaping plot holes in my previous stories.
I'm just trying to get the motivation to write it! I probably just need to talk it out to someone! lol.
Anyway does that sound interesting to you?

It sounds great! You should write it and submit it.
My last issue as Editor of The Post is the next one 28 February. After that you'll be dealing with Rich - but there certainly shouldn't be any problems with that.
So yes. Keep writing!
