h2g2 The Hitchhiker's Guide to the Galaxy: Earth Edition

Do you know what's going on with The News Quiz? We haven't heard it for ages because Nog's laptop has been in computer hospital for the last six weeks and then this morning found it was being hosted by Sandy Toksvig. Has Simon Hoggart left?

How long do these series last, do you know? It seems they are off the air more than they are on.

Btw, the News Quiz we listened to this morning was particularly funny - we were laughing out loud at several points during the programme.

And I think that Sandy Toksvig does a great job of hosting the show. But doesn't she have an odd voice?

And speaking of odd voices, for awhile I thought that Jo Brand was a camp gay man, a la Julian Clary, until Nog assured me that she is in fact a woman.

There are always 6 episodes to a series, but since BBC7 re-runs a lot of the more popular ones it's possible to listen to them more often. The problem is, they tend to rerun the same ones from around 1999-2000 over and over again.

I've always liked Sandi Toksvig and I think she's doing quite well on News Quiz. I haven't had a chance to listen to this week's yet though, as the Radio Player's been having 'technical difficulties'.

Me again. I've started writing a guide entry about the photo gallery and thought maybe it would be something interesting for the Post.

It's still 'under construction' but if you have any thoughts or suggestions either leave them here or on the photo gallery thread (I'd rather people didn't comment on the guide entry page until it's finished).

As I'm not around h2g2 as much anymore, keeping it on my PS as a journal entry/personal project sort of thing seems a bit alienating for newcomers or people who don't know me - they might feel a bit uncomfortable sending in their photos. I think putting it in a guide entry will give it more of a community feel, you know?

Btw, are you old enough to be in it yet? We can always use the famous EMR Snoopy against the trolls pic ...

I think this would be really great for , az - I always adore submissions that are about h2g2 to contrast the usual spates of sci-fi and film reviews (not that those aren't wonderful too...). I would probably move the odd comma, but other than that I can't think of anything I would change for .

I'm 17 now, and for the past year or so I've been considering when I'll be "old enough" to send in a photo. I think I'd just as soon wait until I'm legal and out of my parents' house, though, just out of respect for them and my little sister, y'know? (I don't know why I bother, seeing how public I am on my blog, but old vestiges of privacy die hard, and probably should hang out for at least a little while longer.)

I've been spending far less time on h2g2 myself these days - it's really only keeping me a regular subscriber. It's a bit odd, to see an integral part of my teenage years morphing into an, erm, less integral part like that.

The point, though, of course, was that you should definitely send this to .
