I'm really surprise to know you're in California. I thought you were English. I love the oranges of California, which I brought in Wal-Mart. They are so big, sweet and juicy.
You're a special girl. It seems that you're quite fond of Rome history. In China, seldom students do the research about Rome. When I was in high school, I spent most of time learning the 5000-year history of China. We had 3 textbooks about China, 1 about the history of world( from WWI to WWII), the 1 about the history of UK ,USA and some Asia country like Japan, Korea, Thailand and so on. So almost everything about Rome is specific.
When I chose the major of the University, I had concerned about the Archeology. But the dead body really scared me, so I gave up and chose to study law.
Well, you call the new student " freshman¡± and call the second year student ¡°sophomore¡±. Is there any special words for the students in Grade 3 or Grade 4 ?

China - how exotic!
I'm interested in most European history - becoming a historian is a possible career for me!
'Junior' and 'senior' are the words for the other grades of high school.
