I read somewhere (now can't remember where - God thread?) that you are reading Claudius the God. Last week I picked up I Claudius - even though I thought that having seen the BBC series on dvd recently I might find the book a bit redundant. Well - no way! As good as the series was, the book is even better. Of course I keep seeing Derek Jacobi as Claudius. Anyhow, tomorrow I will order Claudius the God when I am next at my local bookshop here and hope I can find something else to keep me interested while I wait for it to arrive.
Downside of living in Spain is that the English sections of bookshops are mostly into bestsellers but I have discovered that I can order anything I like and it's here within a week or so. Cheaper than Amazon as I don't have to pay the postage.
How are you doing?

I'm well - how are you?
It seems to me that the books are quite different to the TV series in their feel. I get more of a feeling that the books are actually a historical record, whereas the TV series feels like the drama it is - though it's still very good!
I wrote about Claudius and Stephen Fry's The Liar for an English essay the other day. However, working both books in the essay meant completely ignoring the prompt, so needless to say I didn't get a very good grade.
Well, enjoy reading...

Did you know that The News Quiz is back on the air? I just noticed it today . . . not sure if it started up again this week or last.
So, off to make lunch and sit down with Noggin to listen to it while we eat.

Yes, I did know. I listened to it last night, actually.
I'm addicted to BBC radio comedy now. I can't fall asleep without having listened to something or other first.
